Halloween Tablescape

I'm sorry can someone please explain to me how we are ALREADY in October?!

Let's be real though...no one is complaining ;) Fall has officially arrived, and here in Florida that basically means you can wear a scarf over your tank top, but whatev. Here at FIG LEAF, we are pretending we are in the mountains of Greenville SC. #literallywearmybootseveryday #noshame.

Fall is one my favorite seasons as if you guys couldn't already tell ha. So this week on the blog I have put together the CUTEST Halloween table spread to get everyone in the Fall spirit! I love table spreads because I usually go into them with ZERO plan. I find things while I am out and about and think "Hmm this could be cute!" and then by the time we are ready to shoot something magical comes together!

Spooky Skull

For this table, I wanted to capture all the fun spooky charm of Halloween but didn't want my table overrun with color. By now y'all are fully aware of my obsession with white so I wanted this table spread to feel crisp, chic, with a touch of creepy. When it comes to any type of seasonal decor shopping I always tell people - buy something that you will use again. Obviously, things like spiders, skulls, and spooky trees are not year-long decor pieces - but things like napkins, placemats, plates, and silverware can be! Search for something that fits your table's theme, but is also multi-functional.

I wanted this table to feel like Halloween but also keep things classy - I'm from South Carolina so I can't ever really "escape" classy ha. I chose the cutest placemats with just enough "Halloween" to mesh with my tablescape but also simple enough to be used all year. Paired these with a clean white plate and a textured soft grey napkin with a pop of gold. Keeping your place settings simple like this gives you a perfect canvas on which to build the rest of your theme! Then the fun part - the Halloween vibes. To be honest, I hit decor JACKPOT at Target this year. They had a great selection of fun Halloween pops that fit my table perfectly. Snagged a creepy serving bowl from Marshalls, some skulls, fake spiders and dusty cobwebs and just like that it all came together!

The finishing touch for any great Halloween party is the treats. #fatgirlatheart So I prepared two of my Halloween faves - chocolate covered pretzels and butter toffee popcorn! YUM! Recipes are linked below and trust me, you'll want to try these! So there you have it ♡
