A Christmas Home Tour

As you all know by now, Tyler and I are moving back to South Carolina this month which made the whole decorating for Christmas slightly impossible...

I mean, let's be real. Who wants to take out ALL those Christmas decorations only to turn around and tear everything down that same day and box it all up before Christmas even happens? Not I!

So instead, we decided to "Deck The Halls" of our besties' home here in Florida. If you keep up with me on my insta-stories than you have probably met Hope & Seth - more than once lol. These two have been a HUGE blessing to Tyler & I during our time in Florida and they were thrilled at the idea of a Christmas takeover! After lots of shopping (as this is their first married Christmas with a home of their own to decorate) we got to staging!

Decorating for Christmas is one of my all-time favorite traditions. In my home growing up, we would always start by picking out that perfect tree (which for me always meant the biggest, most expensive one on the lot - sorry mom & dad). Then we would stop by Krispy Kreme to get hot & ready donuts and head to the house for the festivities to begin. My poor dad & brother trying to carry the biggest tree ever up the stairs of our beach style home - quite the sight! Mom & I chowing down on donuts while dancing to Christmas music. Christmas in my home is a time for family, traditions, and thankfulness. So needless to say, I cannot wait to get back to SC to spend the holidays with our loved ones. However, not decorating my home for Christmas this year has felt SUPER weird. The good news is, Hope is just as Christmas obsessed as me so decorating her home together has finally got me in the spirit!

For her first married Christmas, Hope wanted to go with a sweet rustic wonderland which is probably one of my all time fave Christmas themes so I was PUMPED! We shopped around at some of the local holiday & home stores and found the CUTEST steals. Hope has an open concept living/dining area which made decorating super seamless. She also has this super cute mantle in her dining room that I could not wait to get my hands on! To keep things rustic we used lots of real tree branches we had left over from the tree trimming and a ton of wood elements. We found the cutest rustic styled ornaments at Hobby Lobby and decked the tree to the max! When it comes to ornaments Hope is a "more is more" kinda gal so she went to town filling the tree. We also knew that nothing makes a home feel more like Christmas than snuggling up with some festive holiday pillows so we loaded up. Add in some pops of red, a little touch a snow, and some candles and it is officially beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
