I Smell Fall...
You guys I am O B S E S S E D with FALL...
The colors, the smells, the textures. Fall is just one of those seasons that sucks me in. Give me a cozy knit blanket, a cup of hot chocolate, and some candles and I am set! Also, I feel I need to confess for all my Fall lovers...here at FIG LEAF + CO you will find no pumpkin spice lattes, no pumpkin scented candles, and no pumpkin spiced bath bombs - I don't know who invited pumpkin spice into Fall but I am hereby un-extending the invitation (sorry PS lovers). Fall doesn't need you. It was just fine before you came along.
On that note, I want to share my fave Fall decor inspo to help you prep your homes for this lovely season. The good thing about Fall is you don't have to break the bank to sprinkle it in! It's all about texture & color.
One great way to add Fall texture is with big chunky blankets. Throw them on the couch, chairs, bed, floor - it really doesn't matter just get some! I prefer to stick to neutrals when it comes to blankets - whites, creams, soft grays, you get the point. I've linked some of my fave below for your shopping pleasure.
Another totally fabulous Fall home accessory are wreaths. Wreaths add so much rich texture to your home whether placed above your fireplace mantel, on your door or laid against a wall on your console table. I personally love full greenery wreaths but if you are a flower person, this is a GREAT way to add flowers into your home design. Here are some of my top picks, or feel free to DIY these babies!
C A N D L E S I mean like duh. How can you even f a l l without candles?! I pretty much fill every room in my home with candles during Fall. I love the feel of the fire crackling and those sweet fall scents filling up my home. Candles are such a cozy home staple and there are thousands of scents to choose from. Check out my faves below!
My other Fall time fave is driftwood. I love pulling out my driftwood accents and sprinkling them throughout my home. Something about w o o d makes me feel so warm and homey. If you can't find driftwood, try antiqued white wood. You can use it as a serving tray, table accent, or just a small mantle accent. Wherever you choose to put it, I promise the Fall feels will not disappoint! Here are a few pieces I am loving this year.
